Old Manse of Craggan Bed & Breakfast is approximately one mile from the famous Speyside Way and we are very happy to give a lift to walkers who do not have transport and also supply packed lunches if required.

Golf and Skiing
There are several golf courses within easy reach from Old Manse of Craggan, the nearest being Ballindalloch and Dufftown. There is a ski centre at the Lecht near Tomintoul, which is twelve miles away and you can be skiing on the Cairngorms at Aviemore within forty five minutes from our B&B.

Local Places to Visit

Ballindalloch Castle – a beautiful castle and garden approximately two miles from our B&B. It has been privately owned since the sixteenth century by the same family, the Macpherson-Grants.

Glenlivet Distillery – about two miles from our B&B. Well worth a visit as are the other distilleries on the whisky trail. Click Here to find out more.

Osprey – view the osprey nesting on their return from Africa between April and September at the RSPB visitor centre at Loch Garten.

Revack Estate – there are forest walks, as well as a restaurant and shop. Near Grantown on Spey.

Speyside Cooperage – less than ten miles away near Cregallachie, you can see oak casks being built and repaired.

Speyside Heather – a garden and visitor centre.

Speyside Pottery – on the way to Aberlour, the home of Walkers Shortbread, just seven miles away.

Tomintoul Gallery - Local artist Jane Lannigan can be seen working on her batik fine art paintings in the gallery. Originals and prints available of Scottish scenes and vibrant Mediterranean and European landscapes.

We are about an hour by car from Inverness and about one and a half hours to Aberdeen. Aberlour is seven miles away and the towns of Elgin, Tomintoul and Granton on Spey are also within easy reach.
